The musical globetrotters of fluttery Records stirring their tail again early in the year, although the release date of this Italian band Amp Rive believe I just belongs to the previous year. But who cares? In Italy, their debut Irma Vep even released in 2011. Now it is hoped that this new five creative with their music deal than their album title, because it is just an anagram of their name. But do not worry about when Luca Gabrielli (guitar), Gualtiero Venturelli (guitar), Alessandro Gazzotti (bass), Adriano Pratissoli (drums) and Andrea Sologni (synthesizer, guitar), Adriano although only a hairless upper lip has. The Italians about rock and post rock is in the blood. Their debut certainly contains all the ingredients you can expect in the contemporary, guitar-driven post-rock but they know you do to captivate. This is primarily because they are just the trick to make sophisticated postrock to perfection control. Additionally they fall by their very melodic approach, which sometimes alternating reminiscent of the acrobatics of Don Caballero, the country-like dreams of Red House Painters and mesmerizing rhythmic experiments of Tortoise. Also, they fill the elongated and highly constructed compositions regularly with vintage synth. The main part is comprised of energetic, dynamic guitar music with happy here and there a well placed uppercut. Here they are again indebted to bands like Mogwai and Explosions In The Sky. Nowhere do they really over the top, because the focus is more on the mood and composition rather than producing excess adrenaline. Strong debut!
